St Patrick’s Primary School, St Arnaud, is fully committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child. The school upholds the Victorian Child Safe Standards and operates within the Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education framework. Child safety is the highest priority, and all forms of abuse are not tolerated.
The school fosters a culture of respect, inclusion and empowerment, ensuring children have a voice and feel safe and supported. It pays particular attention to the needs of vulnerable children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, those with disabilities, and students from diverse backgrounds.
St Pat’s ensures child safety through clear policies, risk management, safe recruitment practices, staff training and continuous review. Families and the wider community are encouraged to be active partners in maintaining a transparent, safe and caring environment where every child can learn and thrive.
Guided by our vision of “the pursuit of fullness of life for all,” DOBCEL is committed to inclusion and the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children and young people in our care. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who support Catholic education and value the unique contributions of each person.
St Patrick's Primary School is a Catholic parish primary school situated in the Central Highlands, a region in the north-west of Victoria. The Sisters of Mercy established and ran the school for many years. Today, the school is in the care of dedicated lay teachers and a supportive parish community.
St Patrick's is an educating community with Christ as its centre point and inspiration, educating for service in faith, hope and love with the teaching and learning programs of the school embedded in the Gospel values. An integral part of our religious education is prayer, reflection, scripture, school masses and liturgies.
