About the Role
This role will be responsible for maintaining hygienic, safe and well presented facilities across the school.
Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include:
- To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children and young people;
- Daily sanitation of all student and staff toilets and sick bay to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained
- Stock replishment of all amenities daily ensuring an uninterrupted supply of liquid hand soap, toilet tissue and paper towels
- Foyer entrance glass to be cleaned daily and foyer to be vacuumed daily
- Perform a range of daily and cyclical duties including vacuuming, mopping and dusting to maintain a pristine environment across the school
- Collect and empty waste from staff and student toilet amenities and the First Aid Room
- Execute a daily routine cleaning of all building surfaces at the end of each school day, specifically window sills, doors, door handles and frames
- A deep cleaing of the school during the school holidays including glass washing, student and teacher desks, steam cleaning of carpets, intensive descaling and deep sanitation of all toilets and cleaning of higher areas.

About Us
St Mary's is a Catholic primary school encompassing levels Prep to Year 6. The school is situated in Ararat and offers educational services to children drawn from many parts of the district. A good number of children live locally while others bus in from surrounding rural areas. The families of our students come from a variety of socio-economic background and family structures. Our school welcomes Catholic students and those who seek the values of our Catholic tradition. St Mary's originated as a result of the 1850s Gold Rush and in 1889 the Brigidine Sisters took over the running of the school. A new school was built in 1963 with additions and refurbishments completed over the last 10 years. Today St Mary's offers modern and refurbished learning spaces and playground facilities.
