St Mary’s Clarkes Hill is seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic teacher to share the Junior Classroom teaching role. This part-time position offers the chance to work collaboratively in a close-knit, supportive school community committed to faith, learning, and student growth.

Key Selection Criteria
have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children;
possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning;
demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment;
evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation;
have a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching or be eligible for registration.

St Mary’s Primary School in Clarkes Hill is a small rural school located approximately 16 kilometers north east of Ballarat. It was founded over 70 years ago to provide Catholic education for the children of the farming community of Clarkes Hill and its surrounds. The school provides opportunities to educate all children in a caring, happy and supportive environment in a spacious, picturesque country setting. St Mary's aims to create an atmosphere in which both children and staff grow and develop as a Christian community loved by God. We offer the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that will enable the children to lead full Christian lives and be able to play an active role in their community. The staff aims to extend a sense of belonging and welcome within the wider community of home, school and parish by offering a broad curriculum in an environment that is safe, inclusive and respectful.
