Catholic education in Mortlake dates back to 1951, when the school, staffed by the Sisters of Mercy, opened with 54 students from Prep to Year 2. Since 1990 lay teachers have staffed St Colman's being true to the School's Vision Statement: 'We Welcome, We Learn, We have Faith, We Care'. Central to the education provided at St Colman's is the development of the whole child-academically, socially, spiritually and physically.
