Learning Technology Teacher
St Francis Xavier Primary School is a Catholic school that operates under the Mercy charism with governance from the Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL). Our school has approximately 485 students from Foundation to Year Six. We are situated in a rural pocket of Ballarat East, just minutes from central Ballarat.
Our school is committed to a pedagogical approach grounded in the Science of Learning. Applicants should demonstrate an understanding of current practices in technology, including AI, coding and cybersafety in the applied learning context. A growth mindset, commitment to evidence-based teaching, and a passion for student learning are essential.
This is a contracted position for a Learning Technologies Teacher, working four days per week. The role will commence on 11 May 2026 and conclude on 25 January 2027.
We are seeking suitable applicants who:
- Have experience or a strong interest in delivering technology programs to primary-aged students
- Is a team player, willing to collaborate and share practice within the Specialist Learning Community
- Embraces structured, explicit, and engaging teaching methods
- Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing learning
