Physical Education Teacher

About the Role
We are seeking passionate educators who love Physical Education and are ready to contribute to a highly collaborative community of professionals. - To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
- To provide students with a rich and engaging educational experience;
- Ensure the delivery of the Physical Education curriculum that reaches and engages students with a diverse range of educational abilities and backgrounds;

Key Selection Criteria -
- Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
- A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
- Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
- Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
- Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.

About Us
Located in Horsham, Ss Michael and John’s Primary School provides a Catholic Education to the Horsham community and the surrounding rural areas. Our new school building was completed at the end of 2010 and provides flexible and open, indoor and outdoor learning spaces that have been built on the philosophy of supporting our students to become lifelong learners. We aim to support children as they learn to respond to the Gospel in their daily lives and explore their emerging role in society by providing a learning environment that supports their intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical and social development.
