We are looking for an ICT Support Specialist to ensure effective operations of ICT infrastructure in both the offices and school environments. This role maintains key systems; applications management of office resources and provides solutions to issues as they arise.
About Us
Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL) schools are located within a diverse and geographically extensive diocese extending across Western Victoria, from the Murray River to the Southern Ocean. DOBCEL provides governance to 57 schools and partners with them to promote Catholic identity, high quality learning and a culture of respectful and trusting relationships.
As the administrative arm of DOBCEL, Catholic Education Ballarat (CEB) provides support, service and leadership to Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in the Diocese of Ballarat.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level ICT support to CEB staff and schools across the Diocese.
- Manage and maintain critical infrastructure and cloud services.
- Advise on ICT procurement and support strategic ICT initiatives.
- Administer internal systems and provide staff training.

Key Selection Criteria
- Experience in 2nd Level support for a wide range of ICT based services and systems
- Demonstrated experience with desktop applications including Office 365 and MS office suites, Google Workspaces and Google Application suites, Various VoIP and online meeting systems and strong working knowledge of online-file systems (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Google Drive)
- Demonstrated experience with Windows Server and subsystems. Able to manage virtualized server systems and troubleshoot operations
- Layer 2 networking and IP networks with strong skillsets in network equipment deployment, setup and diagnostics.
- Competent in Device Management Platforms (JAMF, Intune, 3rd party device management systems)
- Applied strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate, communicate, and build positive relationships in professional settings
