Join the dynamic team at Catholic Education Ballarat (CEB) as a Psychologist and elevate your career!

We are seeking an experienced professional to support students across the Diocese, with a preferred base in Ballarat. This full-time, ongoing position allows you to work collaboratively in a variety of educational settings, contributing to the educational advancement, mental health and wellbeing of students alongside dedicated colleagues from the Catholic Education Team.

Our psychologists combine onsite school visits with online consultations, providing flexible and impactful services.

Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Lead and support whole-school approaches to student wellbeing & inclusive education.
  • Recommend early intervention programs targeting social, emotional, and behavioural development to support students at risk.
  • Deliver professional learning for staff and families to build capacity in addressing diverse student needs and improving educational outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments and diagnoses related to learning, behavioural, and psychological development.
  • Design and evaluate individual and group interventions, to address barriers to learning and development.
  • Maintain student records, provide consultation and crisis support, and collaborate with professionals to inform best practices and school policies.

Key Selection Criteria

  • demonstrated understanding of how Catholic ethos and principles would inform the work of a psychologist.
  • demonstrated capability to conduct psychometric assessments, analyse and interpret psychometric and educational data.
  • ability to foster effective processes that encourage whole-school approaches to educational programs, student wellbeing and behaviour management.
  • ability to promote a culture of collaboration high level interpersonal and communication skills.
