About Us

The Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL) governs 57 Catholic primary and secondary schools and supports six Diocesan secondary colleges across Western Victoria — from the Murray to the sea.

Guided by our DOBCEL Strategy 2035, we are responding thoughtfully to the changing needs of our communities and the challenges facing education today. Rooted in our Catholic faith and tradition, we are rethinking and renewing Catholic education so that every child can experience fullness of life through learning, belonging, and faith.

Our work is grounded in five strategic pillars: Collaborative Cultures, Engagement and Belonging, School as Community, Rich Pedagogical Practices for Deeper Learning and Wellbeing, and Sustainable Stewardship. These principles shape how we work together in partnership across schools and the wider community.

About the Role

This full-time, parental leave replacement position presents the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary manner in a variety of educational settings alongside highly motivated colleagues from the Wellbeing Team. The DOBCEL Speech Pathology Team adheres to practices recommended by Speech Pathology Australia by engaging in different models of practice including tele-practice.

Working in our diocesan schools is deeply meaningful, highly rewarding, challenging, and dynamic and gives you the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the life of children and young people, their families, schools, and communities.
